The Problem with history. By Jes Alexander

WASHINGTON, DC (Herald de Paris) - There is a problem with history. More and more, we find that that which we assume to be 100% correct simply isn’t. This should not be much of a surprise, for recorded history is the history of the human species, and the human species continues, time and time again, to prove itself wrong. How can this be? Many would argue that facts are facts, irrefutable. The thing is, this really isn’t true. Take, for example, dinosaurs. My generation was raised with one absolute – that the dinosaurs went extinct – completely extinct – approximately 65 million years ago. For my peers and me, this was, as I said, an absolute. Now, it isn’t. Not since an unschooled paleontologist with the unlikely name of ”Jack Horner” discovered that some dinosaurs evolved into some modern species of birds. The most readily accessible of these un-extinct T Rex descendants? The common chicken. Somewhere in Kentucky, Colonel Harlan Sanders is unsettled in his grave. How could this be? How could history be THIS wrong? I always thought that if it weren’t fact, it had to be called a theory. Apparently not.

LETTER TO EDITOR

I'm sure that history needs to be rewritten anyways. There was many great sophisticated civilizations before our current recorded history. OPEN THAT BABY UP, prove to the world that we are wrong about our current understanding of history. On a Egyptian wall there is said to be two sphinx's standing back to back. If the pyramids date back to the same civilizations I bet the other is located someplace underground there. Who knows you might even stumble upon the hall of records. I'm 23 I want to
know whats in those pyramids before I die! I'm sure the Egyptians didn't hide their secrets in just one place, right? Everyone in their right mind keeps multiples of records, but not how they built these massive temples.
